Customer q:
I purchased a Jegs Pro Start'R (part number 10002) over the winter months and installed it today while swapping in a new engine. The starter has a dead short and causes all sorts of sparking when trying to connect the cables to the battery. This unit seems defective as new. Disconnected the battery cables from the starter, now sparking when connecting the cable to the battery. Purchased an OEM starter from the local parts store and installed, and it functioned as it should. Tried the Pro Start'R on the bench to find the same dead short within this unit. Is there any replacement or refund possible?
