Customer q:
I purchased a crate 5.7L from you guys approx. 6 years ago. I had a shop install the engine with lots of fresh parts. I have put about 50,000 miles on the truck since the engine install and have noticed the last few oil changes that I am burning some oil.
I have taken the truck into a shop and they confirmed it is not leaking oil. Should I start using some thicker oil or possibly use some kind of Lucas additive? I wanted to know your opinion before I do anything like that! I'd like to get as much life out of this engine as possible without causing any issues! Any advice you can give would be much appreciated.

JEGS ANSWER:
It is most like the valve steam seals leaking, they are an easy cheap fix. I would have someone replace those first.
