Customer q:
I just bought a JEGS shift solonoid.
Isn't it supposed to to retract when power is applied and spring back when power is cut?
I've bench tested it and it will not pull back by itself, i have to manually push it in before it will hold

It will not retract on its own, but will hold the rear position when power is applied. Once power is applied and the solenoid is cocked it will function as intended.
