Customer q:
I have the stock HEI distributor in the motor, but the rest of it has been built up. 480 lift cam, edlebrock performer heads, edlebrock thunder series 650 carb, edlebrock rpm airgap intake, etc. The motor is being difficult to time. It's showing 31 degrees out just to run at all and still has detonation issues. Will a msd streetfire distributor be enough or do you recommend a full change of the ignition to get rid of the HEI all together?
