Installation Instructions for 70502 JEGS Quiet Ride Ultra Small Area Sound Deadening and Heat Insulating Kit – Self Adhesive

GENERAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

• Tools required: Scissors or sharp utility knife; straight edge; felt tip marker; shop vacuum. We recommend wearing gloves to prevent cuts from the aluminum edges of the material when cutting to size. A small roller is optional. Quiet Ride Ultra is pliable enough to be worked into place by hand.
• Remove interior trim, (carpet, underpad, molding) down to sheetmetal surface.Vacuum to remove loose dirt and dust from surface. It is not necessary to clean surfaces with solvents prior to installation. Quiet Ride Ultra will adhere to bare metal; e-coated; plastic and fiberglass surfaces.
• Mark and cut Quiet Ride Ultra to desired shape using utility knife or scissors prior to removing the backing paper.
• Press the sheet onto the surface starting at one side and press across the surface of the sheet. If the surface is contoured press the sheet down into the contours as you press across the surface of the sheet.
• Smooth out the sheet to insure that there is no air trapped under the sheet.
• NO PRE HEATING OR PRE TREATMENT OF THE SURFACE OR SHEET IS REQUIRED.
