Installation Instructions:

  1. Place vehicle on level ground and jack up the front end. Support the front of the vehicle’s frame using jack stands (allowing suspension to hang).
  2. Remove the front tires/wheels.
  3. Remove the two caliper mounting bolts and slide the caliper off of the rotor (support the caliper so that you do not stretch the rubber brake hose).
  4. Remove the dust cap with channel locks or small pry bar, remove cotter pin through the spindle nut, remove the spindle nut and washer.
  5. Remove the rotor from the original spindle.
  6. Remove the factory dust shield if your spindle has one.
  7. Loosen tie-rod end nut and remove the tie-rod using the appropriate puller.
  8. Use a spring compressor to compress the coil spring (compress spring so that there is no spring pressure on the lower a-frame, you are not actually removing the coil).
  9. Remove the upper ball joint cotter pin and nut (use appropriate ball joint puller tool to remove ball joint).
  10. Remove the dust cap with channel locks or small pry bar, remove cotter pin through the spindle nut, remove the spindle nut and washer.
  11. Remove the cotter pin and lower ball joint nut (use appropriate ball joint puller tool to remove the ball joint).
  12. Place the original spindle to the side. Install new drop spindle.
  13. Tighten upper and lower ball joint nuts and tie rod nuts to factory specifications. Install new cotter pin for all three.13. Install factory dust shield if your drop spindle is drilled to accept them and you still want to use it.
  14. Install rotor onto new drop spindle and tighten spindle nut to factory specification and install new cotter pin.
  15. Install dust cap.
  16. Install caliper over the rotor using two factory mounting bolts and tighten to factory specifications.
  17. Repeat steps 3-16 for the opposite side of the vehicle.
  18. Re-install front wheel and tighten to factory specifications.
  19. After driving the vehicle 10 miles, re-torque the front wheels to factory specifications
