Installation Instructions for 23610 Stainless Steel Oil Restrictors

Oil Galley Restrictors

These oil restrictors sit flush in the block and do not interfere with any motor plates or flywheel/flexplates. Features a 0.060” orifice. 1/4” NPT threads. Fits SB/BB Chevy. See Figure 1 for locations.

Installation

The threads in the block should be cleaned and chased with a 1/4” NPT tap before installation.

• A light coating of engine oil should be applied to the O-ring.

• Teflon tape or a light coating of Teflon sealer should be applied to the threads to eliminate possible leaks.

When installed correctly, the end of the restrictor should be flush with the casting boss or just slightly recessed into the casting.
