Installation Instructions for 15487 Throttle Body Spacer

for 2001-2003 Ford F-150 4.2L XLT

Installation Instructions:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the air intake hose assembly.

3. Remove the throttle body linkage cover.

4. Remove the four (4) bolts from the throttle body.

5. Unclip the throttle and cruise cables from the manifold and throttle lever.

6. Install the throttle body spacer using three (3) 6mm x 55mm bolts and three (3) 6mm flat washers.

7. Install one (1) althread, nut and washer for the throttle body linkage cover.

8. Install the throttle cable bracket with two (2) spacers, two (2) 3/8” bolts, two (2) 3/8” washers, and two (2) 3/8-16”nuts.

9. Install both throttle and cruise cables through the throttle cable bracket and reattach to the throttle body lever.

10. Install the throttle linkage cover bracket with one (1) 6mm bolt, nut, and washer.

11. Inspect and test throttle linkage for full open and closed travel before driving.

*Some cruise kick down cables may require adjustment. Please refer to your vehicle’s service manual for proper adjustment.

12. Reinstall the air intake hose assembly.

13. Reconnect the battery cable.
