for 1996-2003 3.9L, 5.2L, 5.9L ENGINES
1. With engine off, remove air cleaner housing.
2. Remove throttle linkage and electrical connectors. Using a 1/2” socket, remove TBI mounting bolts.
3. Lift off TBI unit and clean off old gaskets from the unit and the intake.
4. Install new gasket on intake. Install the helix spacer. Install gasket on top of spacer. Install the throttle body.
5. Install new mounting bolts supplied in kit and torque to 12ft-lbs.
6. Install throttle and electrical connectors. Some cruise control cables may have to be adjusted. See service manual for instructions.
7. Check linkages for open and closed operation.
8. Install air cleaner spacer; use bolt supplied in kit.
9. Start engine and let idle for approximately five minutes. Drive the vehicle for approximately fifteen minutes to allow the computer to relearn.
