Installation Instructions for 10244 Replacement Latches for 555-10240 thru 10243 Aluminum Battery Boxes

Attach latch to the box with two screws provided. Secure lower screw through the hinge lock clip as shown. Fasten with lock nut on the inside. Install the upper screw. The box lid has a slot to accept the latch end. After securing the latch to the box, set the latch end in slot on the lid and lower latch. Be sure to allow the latch spring-lock to slip between the upper and lower parts of the latch as shown. When the upper latch tab is in position and the spring-lock is protruding simply push the lower latch end all the way down and the spring-lock will pop into place and secure the box. To open simply apply slight pressure upward on the spring-lock to release tension.
