Customer q:
I'm in the process of replacing the existing rear end on my 1955 Chevy Truck for a 1976 Trans Am unit. At the same time, I would like to lower the truck by flipping the rear end on top of the stock leaf springs. My question is: Do you sell a complete kit to do that that includes the perches, "U" bolts and the bottom plate to attach the shocks absorbers?
CAR MAKE & MODEL
ac = No

fuel = Carburator
make = Chevy
model = 3100
pwrbrk = Yes
pwrstr = No
trans = TH400

JEGS ANSWER:
The '79 Trans Am rear end will have the perches on the lower side. You will need to remove these and move them to fit the width of the truck. You could use universal perches/u-bolts 555-60195K, shock plate 320-040302L and 320-040302R. Should you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.
