Customer q:

This is a question about the Holley 4175 carburetor #0-80555C. In the Holley manual, the vacuum port call-out for the #4 port in the front says "purge" so can I run the gas tank vent line to it? My Holley mechanical fuel pump does not have a provision for this vent line, so I need to know what to do with it. This engine is not for street use, and does not have any emissions equipment. Thanks

JEGS ANSWER:

If you have a vented gas cap, you will just plug this vent line. If venting is needed, it can be hooked to the base of the air cleaner or simply tucked aside in the fender well area. You do not want to hook this to a vacuum source on the carburetor. Let me know if you have any more questions and good luck.
