Customer q:
When taking off from a stop, when I slowly push down on the gas pedal just off of idle the engine will suddenly accelerate and the truck will lunge forward. I don't have engine bog at driving speeds, just aggressive acceleration just off idle. Can I correct this by changing the step-up springs? The carburetor has the springs installed that came with the carburetor from JEGS, If so, which color spring do you suggest I try?

JEGS ANSWER:
Hello!
Thank you for giving Jegs the opportunity to assist you.
Yes, changing the step-up spring will allow you to slow the metering rods that should slow this acceleration down slightly.
Should you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.
