Customer q:
I bought and installed a Pertronix 1181LS Ignitor in my stock distributor and still have the stock coil also. I recently read that I shouldn't run the Pertronix with an internal resistor coil. Do you know if my stock coil has an internal resistor? And what coil does not?

This can be used with a internal or external resistor. You must ensure you are using a points style coil and not an HEI coil.
If you are using your OE points coil with this ignitor kit, you will be fine.
