Hi and thank you for your help, I have the above vehicle in my shop. It's mine but so many controversies of what size ring pinion set up. I've also got spare 3.36 rear as spare which is a 74/75 vette. i need to know which rebuild kits works with timken bearings, is it 8.2 or 8.5 and are they interchangeable. I've got a order waiting to go and put the yukon posi centre if you can see my order. I've got a set of yukon 3.73 gear set here also. Can you please set me straight mate. cheers

The 63-79 Corvette should have a cast iron drop out rear. The GM 8.5 and 8.6 are interchangeable but no compatible with your Corvette.
Yukon Gear 807-YKGMVETCI is the master overhaul kit for that differential with Timken bearings
