Customer q:
I just purchased a GM crate engine #12530283. Can you tell me the oil capacity of the oil pan that is installed on that engine? The reason I ask is because GM included a note with this engine saying that "On models with a 5qt oil pan: Remove oil pan from engine. Replace with original or purchase pan assembly #10242244". When I tried looking up this part number on a GM parts website it doesn't exist. Any ideas?
