Customer q:

Bought your cam and lifter kit 200108. Should I remove the inner valve springs for lifter break in? The heads are new from Skip White performance. They are for flat tappet cams. I don't know the exact spring pressure.  I do have Lucas break in oil, and am using the lube that cam with the cam kit. Started to take them apart, looks like the inner spring is more a dampener than a spring. Near impossible to remove from inside the outer spring. Thanks again

JEGS ANSWER:

With the proper spring pressure it is not necessary to remove the inner spring. Just be sure to use the proper cam lube and a good oil with ZDDP additive. As long as you keep using the oil with additive you most likely will never have any issue. If you need anything else, please reach out 24/7. Thanks for choosing JEGS
