I am a disabled Army veteran, I have a left below knee amputation due to an injury sustained in Iraq. I enjoy driving on the race track as a hobby, but it is more than that for me, it keeps me sane. Driving has played a huge part in my recovery. When I am on the track I am not disabled, I do not feel pain and I am stress free. Check out this feature on ford.com.
The car I am working on is a 2002 ROUSH Mustang GT. This car is a dedicated track machine that competes it time trials, autocross and pro-touring event across the Midwest. This car also frequents numerous track days. I am planning to pull it out old 2v and swap in a Ford 5.0 Coyote crate engine. I am currently planning to source most of the parts for this build from LMR. I then plan to detail the build process on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and reconracing.com. The goal is to have the car completed before the Optima Street Car Challenge event at Road America in October. I am already registered for the event and would love to run the event with the newly built RECON Racing Mustang powered by a Coyote engine from LMR.
