Installation Instructions for 15416 Vortec Throttle Body Spacer with Helix 

for 1998-2003 Ford 4.2L V6 

Installation Instructions: 

1. With engine off remove air cleaner assembly from top of throttle body. 

2. Using a 10mm socket removed mounting bolts from the front side of throttle body. Remove throttle cables and wire connectors. Now remove throttle body. Clean off old gasket. 

3. Remove the 2 bolts from throttle linkage bracket and save. 

4. Install HELIX SPACER with gasket on either side, then the throttle body unit, bolt down with bolts supplied in kit. Torque to 6 ft. 

5. Install linkage plates using two 6mm screws. Then install throttle linkage bracket to the plate with 2 screws saved. Install one linkage bracket plate for the plastic intake cover. 

6. Install throttle linkage and wire connectors. 

7. Inspect throttle for open and closed travel. Then reinstall air cleaner housing. 

8. Start engine and let idle for a couple of minutes then go drive. It may take 15 minutes of normal driving for the computer to relearn.
